What Inflation Money is

Inflation Money (InflationMoney.com) publishes tools that show what inflation and government borrowing mean at household scale. The homepage runs money clocks for figures such as the national debt, the M2 money supply and the purchasing power of a dollar. The inflation calculator converts a dollar amount between any two years using the Consumer Price Index. The inflation loss calculator shows how much buying power a cash balance loses over time. The market returns comparison puts stocks, gold, Bitcoin, bonds, housing, oil and cash side by side, with an option to adjust for inflation. The history pages chart long-run series, and the guides explain the concepts behind the numbers.

Who runs it

The site is operated by the Inflation Money editorial team. The team selects sources, writes the explainers, maintains the data pipeline and answers reader email. Pages do not carry bylines because every page is a team product that is reviewed and updated over time rather than a one-off article.

Why it exists

Official statistics are public, but they are spread across several agencies and published as index levels and tables that are hard to read at a glance.
